Management Team

Eugene M. Jordan, II, Esquire, Chairman/President & CEO

Gene has over 35 years of estate planning and fiduciary law experience. Gene holds a BA from North Carolina Wesleyan College, Certificate of Trust Management and Juris Doctor from Campbell University. He is a current member and past president of the Peninsula Estate Planning Council and a current member of the Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council. Gene serves on the boards of Riverside Regional Medical Center, Benardine Franciscan Sister Foundation, Peninsula Chapter of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, and is a member of the Hampton Rotary Club.

Natalie D. Gill, CTFA, Senior Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer

Natalie has over 15 years of experience in the Trust and Wealth Management industry. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Certificate of Trust Management from Campbell University. Natalie also completed the American Bankers Association National Trust School and National Graduate Trust School and has the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor certification. She is also a member of the Peninsula Estate Planning Council.

Administration Team

Toni D. Dean, CPA, Senior Vice President & Chief Tax Officer

Toni has over 30 years of experience in tax preparation and tax counseling. She holds a B.A. in accounting from North Carolina State University. As a Certified Public Accountant, her primary focus is on individual and fiduciary taxation. Toni is an honor graduate of Cannon Trust Tax School.

Michelle Whittington, CSOP, Senior Vice President & Chief Operations Officer

Michelle has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, with 32 of those years in the investment management and trust operations areas. She earned her certifications of Certified Trust Operations Specialist and Certified Securities Operations Professional from Cannon Financial Institute. Michelle is a graduate of the Cannon Securities Graduate Program. She is a member of the Institute of Certified Banks and Fiduciary & Investment Risk Management Association (FIRMA).

   

Business Development Team

N. Gregory Spryn, CFP®, Senior Vice President & Business Development Officer

Greg has over 24 years of experience in the Trust & Wealth Management industry. His dedication to help manage assets for individuals, trusts, retirement plans, charitable organizations and businesses is unrivaled. Planning with a long-term investment approach allows him to help clients develop and implement strategies for building wealth and realizing their goals. His mission is to provide objective and timely financial advice and guidance with the highest level of professional service in building and preserving wealth for his clients. Such planning is not a single event - it's a process.

Greg has a degree in physics and an MBA from Hood College. He holds a Certified Financial Planner™ designation and is a member of the Peninsula Estate Planning Council as well as the Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council.

Dee Burcher, Marketing & Development Officer

Dee has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. She assists with the business development efforts of the company which include directing the marketing activities of Old Point Trust. Dee also directs company training efforts to increase awareness of company services. She and her family are lifelong residents of the Peninsula.

   

Investments Team

McKim Williams, Jr., Senior Vice President & Chief Investment Officer 

McKim has over 25 years of investment and portfolio management experience. In addition to overseeing our investment research and portfolio management, he also writes our Investment Commentary newsletter. McKim attained both his B.A and M.B.A. from The College of William & Mary and has attained Bloomberg® Certification for both Equity & Fixed Income.   He is Past President of the Rotary Club of Newport News and is a member of the Economics Club of Hampton Roads.  

Bill McLachlan, CFP®, Vice President & Investment Officer

Bill has over 35 years of investment management experience and he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.   He has a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia and a Certificate in Financial Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University.  He has completed the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University and the Southeastern Trust School at Campbell University. 

 

Relationship Managers - Personal Trust Team

S. Patricia Meir, CTFA, Vice President & Relationship Manager

Tricia has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, with 20 of those years in the wealth management arena. She graduated with honors from Cannon Trust School, has a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech and a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor designation. Tricia is a member of the Peninsula Estate Planning Council.

Robert T. Cowling, CLU, Vice President & Relationship Manager

Rob has over 40 years experience in the financial services industry. He is a member and Past President of the Peninsula Estate Planning Council and also the Society of Financial Service Professionals-Peninsula Chapter. He is a Graduate of Cannon Trust School, and a Chartered Life Underwriter.

Anna Murphy, Vice President & Relationship Manager

Anna has over 30 years of experience in the Trust and Wealth Management industry. A graduate of Southeastern Trust School at Campbell University as well as Canon Trust School, she has also completed various fiduciary courses. She is a member of the Peninsula Estate Planning Council.

     

Retirement Services Team - Old Point Trust

Kyle W Dunigan, CPC, QPA, QKA, Vice President & Retirement Services Officer

Kyle has over 15 years of experience in the fields of qualified and non-qualified plan administration and consulting. He is an associate member of the America Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA), and he regularly attends various continuing education seminars sponsored by ASPPA, FIS, and other retirement and fiduciary related organizations.

R. Joseph Rader, CEBS, QPA, QKA, CPFA, Retirement Services Officer

Joe has over 27 years of experience working with employer sponsored retirement plans. His experience includes investments, recordkeeping, administration, compliance and advisory/consulting. He earned a B.S. in Economics and Finance from Frostburg State University. He is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) where he earned his Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designations. He is a founding member of the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) where he earned his Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation. He also holds the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation offered through a partnership between the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.

Leesa Conley, Retirement Services Administrator

Leesa joined the Old Point Team in 2015. She has over 10 years of customer service experience and a background in retirement accounts. She is a graduate of Evangel University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. She works with Kyle to handle the 401(k) daily record keeping and IRA account administration.

Becky J. Nicholas, CPC, Senior Vice President & Managing Director

Becky has over 30 years of experience in the qualified plan area. She is a course instructor for the ASPPA Qualified Pension Administrator's Program, as well as the Retirement Plans course for the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist  Program. She has given numerous presentations to various professional financial and accounting organizations. Becky is an associate member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA).

Deborah W. Henry, CPC, ERPA, Vice President 

Debbie brings over 25 years of experience to retirement plan administration. She is an associate member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and an enrolled Retirement Plan Agent through the IRS. In an effort to keep on the cutting edge of of the industry, Debbie regularly attends various continuing education seminars sponsored by ASPPA and Corbel.

Maureen J. Ringo, CPC, ERPA, Vice President 

Maureen brings over 20 years of service to the team. She is an associate member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and an enrolled Retirement Plan Agent through the IRS. Maureen helps coordinate plan design, implementation, and education for clients.
