Management Team

Eric Kauders, Jr. - President & CEO

Eric has over 20 years of wealth management leadership experience. He holds his bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Virginia Council on Economic Education and the Virginia Bankers Association’s Trust and Wealth Management Committee.

Natalie D. Gill, CTFA - Senior Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer

Natalie has over 15 years of experience in the Trust and Wealth Management industry. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Certificate of Trust Management from Campbell University. Natalie also completed the American Bankers Association National Trust School and National Graduate Trust School and has the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor certification. She is also a member of the Peninsula Estate Planning Council.

Sean Corkery, CFA - Senior Vice President & Chief Investment Officer

Sean has more than two decades of experience in security analysis, portfolio management, and investment leadership. Sean received a B.S. degree in Finance/Investments from Babson College. Sean is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Michelle Whittington, CSOP -  Senior Vice President & Chief Operations Officer

Michelle has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, with the vast majority in the investment management and trust operations areas. She is a Certified Trust Operations Specialist and Certified Securities Operations Professional and a graduate of the Cannon Securities Graduate Program. She is a member of the Institute of Certified Banks and Fiduciary & Investment Risk Management Association.

Business Development

Cheri Green, CFP® - Senior Vice President, Private Wealth Advisor

Cheri brings with her more than 20 years of banking experience, with a background in retail banking management, investments and lending. Cheri received her Bachelor of Arts from The College of William and Mary. She holds the CFP® designation as well as the Series 6 and 63 investment licenses. Cheri is a member of the Williamsburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a current board member for Williamsburg Community Health Foundation, and a former board member for a variety of local non-profit, housing, food security and business organizations.

Dee Burcher - Marketing & Development Officer

Dee has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. She assists with business development and coordinates the marketing activities for the company. Dee also directs training efforts across the company to increase awareness of Old Point Wealth Management’s services and capabilities.

Investment Team

McKim Williams, Jr. - Senior Vice President & Senior Portfolio Manager

McKim is Senior Vice-President and Senior Portfolio Manager of Old Point Wealth Management. He previously served as Chief Investment Officer and has over 25 years of investment and portfolio management experience. McKim attained both his B.A and M.B.A. from The College of William & Mary and has attained Bloomberg® Certification for both Equity and Fixed Income.  

Cristin A. McGinnis - Senior Vice President & Portfolio Manager

Cristin brings more than a decade of investment acumen to Old Point Wealth Management. Prior to joining the team, she was running hedge fund style strategies as a multi-asset portfolio manager for a suite of award-winning mutual funds and individual clients. Cristin holds her B.S. in Finance and her M.B.A. from Old Dominion University.

Anna Murphy - Vice President & Relationship Manager

Anna has over 30 years of experience in the Trust and Wealth Management industry. A graduate of Southeastern Trust School at Campbell University as well as Canon Trust School, she is a member of the Peninsula Estate Planning Council.

Robert T. Cowling, CLU - Vice President & Relationship Manager

Rob has over 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has a B.B. A. from Barton College, is a Graduate of Cannon Trust School, and a Chartered Life Underwriter. He is a member and Past President of the Peninsula Estate Planning Council and the Society of Financial Service Professionals - Peninsula Chapter.

S. Patricia Meir, CTFA - Vice President & Relationship Manager

Tricia has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, with 20 of those years in the wealth management area. She has a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech, graduated with honors from Cannon Trust School, and holds the Certified Trust & Financial Advisor designation. Tricia is a member of the Peninsula Estate Planning Council.

Larry Kirk, CPA - Vice President & Chief Tax Officer

Larry has over 30 years of accounting and tax experience through a career that spans public accounting, private company, governmental accounting and tax compliance.  His tax experience includes individual tax planning and preparation as well as corporate and fiduciary taxes.  He is a graduate of Christopher Newport University, where he majored in accounting.  He also holds a Charter Global Management Accountant designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Retirement Solutions Team

R. Joseph Rader, CEBS®,CPFA, QPA, QKC, QKA® CPFA
Senior Vice President & Head of Retirement Solutions

Joe has nearly three decades of experience working with employer-sponsored retirement plans. His experience includes investments, recordkeeping, administration, compliance and advisory/consulting. He earned a B.S. in Economics and Finance from Frostburg State University. He is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries where he earned his Qualified Pension Administrator, Qualified 401(K) Consultant, and Qualified 401(k) Administrator designations. He is a founding member of the National Association of Plan Advisors where he earned his Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation, and also holds the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation.

Leesa D. Conley, QKA, CISP - Retirement Services Officer

Leesa has over 30 years of customer service experience and has nearly a decade of experience in the retirement industry.  She is a graduate of Evangel University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.  She is a member of the American Bankers Association Professionals where she earned her Certified IRA Services Professional designation and is also a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, where she earned her Qualified 401(k) Administrator designation.

Becky J. Nicholas, CPC - Senior Vice President & Managing Director

Becky has over 30 years of experience in the qualified plan area. Becky earned her Certified Pension Consultant designation through the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. She is a former adjunct professor for the UVA and ODU Certified Employee Benefit Specialist program, as well as a former course instructor for the ASPPA Qualified Pension Administrator’s Program. She is an associated member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.  She is a frequent presenter to various professional, financial and accounting organizations and is an active volunteer for a number of non-profit organizations.  

Deborah W. Henry, CPC, ERPA - Vice President 

Debbie brings over 25 years of experience to retirement plan administration. She is an associate member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries and an enrolled Retirement Plan Agent through the IRS. Debbie regularly attends various continuing education seminars sponsored by ASPPA and Corbel.

Maureen J. Ringo, CPC, ERPA - Vice President 

Maureen brings over 20 years of industry experience to the team. She is an associate member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries and an enrolled Retirement Plan Agent through the IRS. Maureen helps coordinate plan design, implementation, and education for clients.
